Reunion in Bologna

The last time we had dinner with Davide and Paola was in 2005 in Bologna. This time, same city but 7 years and three more kids, we met up again

What a warm welcome we received! First a short walking tour of the city with a stop for some gelato. Then a nice barbecue dinner between the rooftops of Bologna. A special evening. Hope it won't be seven years till the next dinner!

Madurodam

Madurodam is a miniature The Netherlands. A lot of landmarks (Shiphol airport, Deltawerken, Rotterdam airport, etc) important and historical buildings (governement buildings, castles, churches, windmills) and neighborhoods (de Jordaan, Voorstraat in Delt, etc) are rebuilt here on a scale of 1:25. The park was opened in 1952 and new features are continuously added. I went here when I was little so it was very neat to see the changes but also nice to see that some things, like the fire on the boat in the harbor, never change!
