Christmas in Holland

For the first time in about 8 years we spent Christmas in Holland.  Below some impressions of what kept us busy these two weeks

A visit to a cheese farm. Unfortunately no cheese was being made so we will have to go back in the summer and try again.

A trip to Amsterdam using public transportation!!! Bus, train, and bus again. A first for the girls (and last if it is up to Thijs :) )

The metro tunnel being build right underneath the city in Amsterdam

A visit to 'Beeld en Geluid' in Hilversum with Marijn, Anita, Annemijn en Marcus.  Lots to see and do.  Best part: the show in the 'Top Pop' studio.

Christmas eve with the Heijbroek, Kalis and Rademaker families.  Yes, those are real candles in the Christmas tree.

Christmas dinner: scallops, Thijs' famous yellow pepper soup, beef wellington!

Punniken

Lego

Jip en Janneke 'de Mjoeziekul' with opa and oma

Opening presents with Norah

Happy New Year! Sterretjes!!! (Floortje was too scared and stayed inside)

A walk in 'Het Amsterdamse Bos' on new year's day.
